The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has announced a change to its online bracelet schedule for Michigan and Pennsylvania players, which will run from June 4 to July 16. The Mystery Bounty format, which has been taking the world of poker by storm, is now a part of the official 2023 WSOP online series.
The largest bounty will amount to $20,000
The Mystery Bounty is taking the place of a No-Limit Hold’em Progressive Knockout tournament on June 25. The buy-in will total $500 and it will mark the first time in US history that an online gold bracelet event will have a Mystery Bounty format. The largest bounty will amount to $20,000.
The WSOP online poker network in Nevada and New Jersey does not yet support the Mystery Bounty format, as this network is still using the older 888poker software.
Mystery Bounty tournaments are similar to traditional knockout events. The main difference is that a portion of the buy-in goes into a bounty pool. The first phase of the tournament takes place as normal, with bounties kicking in during the latter phase. These are randomized and will get bigger as the play progresses.
