Spin Bingo

You’ve played regular bingo and you’ve probably played all kinds of novel bingo too. Now it’s time to take things to the next level as you prepare to play Spin Bingo by Zitro Interactive. It’s just like regular bingo only...spinnier. It’s well known and commonly accepted that developers will recycle their games, changing just the odd element here and there so as to be able to pass them off as new releases. Zitro Interactive like to plagiarise themselves more than most, and while there’s nothing wrong with doing so per se, it makes you wonder why they bother.

Like, why release half a dozen bingo games with different titles when they’re all basically the same version of 90-ball bingo with the same novelty bonus game built in? Ah, never mind. Let’s just deal with Spin Bingo and pretend that there isn’t a bunch of other identikit games out there. Judged on its own merits, Spin Bingo is okay. Perhaps not okay, but playable. It works, put it that way. You can play the game on mobile or desktop and you can win up to 1,500 coins, which might just be enough to convince you to take part.

Spin When You’re Winning

Aside from the fact that it rhymes, the reason why this game is called Spin Bingo becomes apparent when the game loads and there in the centre of the screen is a rapidly spinning colour wheel. Apart from this flourish however, everything looks reassuringly normal. You’ve got four bingo cards just as you’d expect, and a paytable that runs across the top of the screen. Technically it’s a key – the key symbol makes that clear. Whatever its name, it’s here that you’ll learn the various combinations of lines you can match to win at bingo.

Despite being mobile-compatible incidentally, Spin Bingo doesn’t work quite so well on desktop. Not in the Chrome browser at least. Apparently the game has been optimised for Safari, though it also works in Firefox. It’s not as if the device you’re playing on is gonna be called upon to do anything that involves maxing out its GPU. The graphics, animations and audio are all minimal and unimpressive. The animations are particularly bad.

Four Ways to Win

There are four bingo cards that come with this game and thus you’ve got four chances to win per game. You can’t adjust the number of bingo cards you play with at a time and you can’t adjust your bet level either. It stays at a fixed bet of 1 coin per card, so 4 coins per game. Spin Bingo is based on 90-ball bingo, the UK’s favourite type of bingo, so each card has a 5x3 grid on it. When you hit the large arrow icon that denotes play, the balls fire out of the spinning colour wheel and line up across the bottom of the screen. Meanwhile, a bunch of flashing arrows that look like light bulbs denote where on the four cards you’ve successfully matched numbers.

Not the End!

Once the bingo balls have been drawn, the game doesn’t have to end there. If you want the show to go on, it will – for a price. This is where the spinning colour wheel comes into play. After the draw has been made, 10 coloured discs appear above it. These are an additional 10 balls that can be drawn if desired, one at a time, to help you complete your bingo lines.

Each new ball will cost you 4 coins, however, so you’d better be sure that this is what you want before you commit and wind up paying over the odds just to win a couple of coins back. If several of your cards are very close to completion however you may decide that the additional investment is worth it.

Spin Bingo Conclusion

Spin Bingo is a game that does its job, but it doesn’t leave you feeling very good about yourself. There’s nothing here that might possibly enthrall or excite you. It’s all so dreary and unimaginative. Perhaps if a little more care had been put into the graphics and animations it wouldn’t be so bad, but sadly there’s none of that here. Just a generic and insipid bingo game.

For all its flaws, it’s obviously still possible to have fun playing this game and it’s still possible to make money (provided you’ve chosen to play for real money), but there are loads of better bingo games out there. If you’re short of options, Spin Bingo will do, but if you can possibly help it, try and hunt down a better designed online casino game. You’ll be glad you did.
